Typhoon Ondoy

The Philippines suffered yet another devastating blow a few weekends ago at the hand of typhoon 'Ondoy'. So far more than 275 people have been declared dead and lots lots more are missing. There wasn't enough warning that this was going to happen and as usual, the poorest people in Metro Manila were very badly affected. The Government here are saying that they have only received a quarter of the aid they need to help the million people affected by this tragedy. Maybe if the president here wouldn't spend $50,000 of the tax payers money on one dinner whilst in the US there would be more for the homeless victims of this typhoon. Here are some pictures.
